Pastor Kerry A. Smith was born in Chesapeake, Virginia on November 19, 1964 to Pastor James and Leading Lady Amelia Smith.
Pastor Smith attended public schools in Chesapeake, VA and is a graduate of Great Bridge High School. Currently, he is enrolled in the Tidewater Bible College in Virginia Beach, VA.
In the year of 2001, Pastor Smith founded Discipleship Tabernacle in Virginia Beach, VA. He shares in ministry with his lovely wife, Leading Lady Deitre’ Smith and their children.
In February 2003, Pastor Smith was consecrated and installed in the Office of the Pastorate by the Honorable Bishop Michael J. Rogers, Sr.
Pastor Smith is an anointed man of God and is a very unique gift to the Body of Christ. He has been blessed with many gifts and abilities in which he uses them all to glorify the Father through Christ Jesus. This pastor has been gifted in the ministry of worship and praise, instrumentation, and songwriting. The Bible declares that our gifts will make room for us. As a result of his gift making room for him; he has been blessed to travel abroad to several countries such as Denmark, Germany, Holland, and Switzerland promoting the gospel through worship and praise, the ministry of the word, and promoting and putting on various concerts as well.
Pastor’s Smith spoken word ministry has blessed the lives of many. His motto for life is simply this: "The character of Christ should always precede the ministry that comes out of your mouth."
